泰国封闭30多年的关山山脉，海拔超900米的高空魔鬼栈道，此前已发生多起高空坠落事件，是当地公认的“死亡禁区”。贾克斯（哈里特·斯莱特 饰）为了完成姐姐希洛（维吉尼亚·加德纳 饰）作为极限爱好者的遗愿，与她生前好友卢斯（阿塞玛·托马斯 饰）结伴来此挑战。上一秒两人还欢呼打卡于绝美壮丽的高空景色，却不料下一秒突如其来的地震滑坡便将她们逼入绝境。暴雨、失温、零信号、零补给……脚下的木板随时会断，头顶的碎石不停掉落，两人只能抓住残破的栈道边缘攀爬，在暴雨中寻找每一个可以落脚的支点，靠撕裂衣物做绳、用碎石敲击岩壁传讯。绝壁之上，前无去路，后有塌方，她们究竟能否成功生还？
